CHARLOTTE HAWKINS BROWN MUSUEM STATE HISTORIC SITE
Saturday, April 6
11:00 – 3:00
6136 Burlington Rd.
Gibsonville, NC 27249
Forty Friends, from Piedmont Friends meetings throughout the state, gathered on the chilly Saturday morning in Sedalia.
After fellowship, some ice-breaker activities and sharing picnic lunches, the group were led on a highly informative tour of the historic Palmer Institute, a highly respected educational institute for black children from early in the 1900s to 1971. Now a state historic site, the life and work of Charlotte Hawkins Brown was brought to life by a very engaging tour guide.
