Over 50 Friends from throughout North Carolina gather in Fayetteville (at Highland Presbyterian Church) for fellowship and to learn about Quaker House. This gathering was particularly celebratory because it was jointly planned by the four primary yearly meetings:
- NC Friends Church
- NC Fellowship of Friends
- NC Yearly Meeting Conservative
- Piedmont Friends-Yearly Meeting & Fellowship
Friends shared in small groups a series of queries about being Quakers and about our meetings. After lunch fellowship, Wayne Fineger, Director of Quaker House, shared about the work of Quaker House and current concerns. Former directors Lynn and Steve Newsome and Chuck Fager also shared about their connections to Quaker House and the important legacy of the mission. Afterwords, everyone was invited to visit Quaker House nearby.
