Organizational Affiliations

Piedmont Friends-Yearly Meeting & Fellowship is associated with several organizations in the larger world of Quakers.
Piedmont Friends joins in the work of these organizations through financial support and, to specific organizations, appointing representatives to serve on the central committees and governing boards.

Friends General Conference is one of the national organization of Quakers, including yearly meetings from throughout the continent.

Friends Committee on National Legislation is a national, nonpartisan Quaker organization that lobbies Congress and the administration to advance peace, justice, and environmental stewardship.

Friends Committee on North Carolina Legislation (FCNCL) builds on a Quaker history of seeking to influence state governmental legislation and actions.  The Religious Society of Friends has long sought legislation and good government practices that embody the Quaker testimonies of peace, simplicity, equality, community, integrity and stewardship.

Quaker House is a manifestation of the Friends’ Peace Testimony. Based in Fayetteville, NC, home of Fort Liberty, Quaker House provides counseling and support to service members who are questioning their role in the military; educates them, their families, and the public about military issues; and advocates for a more peaceful world.

American Friends Service Committee brings together people of all faiths and backgrounds to challenge injustice and build peace around the globe.

Friends World Committee for Consultation- Section of the Americas is a component of FWCC, which fosters fellowship among all the branches of the Religious Society of Friends. In the Americas, the Quaker community extends from the Arctic to the Andes, spanning a rich diversity of regional cultures, beliefs and styles of worship.

Quaker Call To Action invites Friends and friends of Friends to enter into a national dialogue to discern how best to respond to the urgent challenges to democracy in our county.
